The Greenville News reports the 134-home project in Greenville County has been introduced at a county zoning and planning public hearing.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - What's a crony? The definition of that word is playing a role in lawsuit filed against the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports lawyers for Karon Mitchell have responded to the chamber's request to strike the words 'crony' and 'crony companies"' from a lawsuit filed in early April.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A filing by the state attorney general's office says a law that allowed South Carolina Electric and Gas Co. to increase customers' bills nine time for two failed nuclear reactors is unconstitutional. The State newspaper in Columbia reports it's the first time the office has said the 2007 law known as the Base Load Review Act is unconstitutional.

KINGSTREE, S.C. (AP) - A basketball coach is suing a South Carolina school district, saying he was fired because he blew the whistle on issues such as grade-changing and covering up sexual harassment. The Morning News of Florence reports Andre Weathers is suing the Williamsburg County School District, a former superintendent and others.
