ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – A second person has been arrested in connection with the case of a man found shot to death and a woman who claimed to be kidnapped and is now charged with murder.

According to Maj. Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Comanche Brooks Locklear, 27, of Lumberton, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He is incarcerated in the Robeson County Detention Center under no bond.

Previously, Zonna Chanae Locklear, 27, was arrested by Robeson County law enforcement and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

According to Thompson, the investigation started when deputies found Zonna Locklear beside the road on N.C. 410 north of Chadbourn on May 26. She claimed to have been kidnapped, Thompson previously said.

Locklear was located as deputies were heading to 107 N. Sterling St., in Proctorville at the request of the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office to make contact with the homeowner.

When law enforcement entered the home, they reportedly found the body of Gary Wayne Bisbee Jr., 23, of Lumberton.

The investigation continues and more arrests are expected, according to Thompson.
