UPDATE: Swim advisory lifted for portion of Horry County beach

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A swimming advisory has been lifted for a portion of beach in Horry County.

According to a press release from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, bacteria levels have returned to normal in the area 200 feet above and below the Land’s End Resort, which is near Arcadian Shores.

DHEC officials said normal activity can resume in this area.

The advisory was first issued on Wednesday.
