Police respond to shooting at Myrtle Beach hotel early Monday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach police are at the scene of a shooting on South Ocean Boulevard.

A man reportedly found his friend shot inside a room at the Landmark Resort at around 1:10 a.m. Monday, according to Lt. Joey Crosby of the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

The victim was transported to the hospital, Crosby said. No word on the victim's condition or any possible suspects.

Myrtle Beach Police are investigating.

Tierra Locklear was staying at the hotel and watched the police response from the balcony of her hotel room. She described watching officers respond quickly, putting two men in handcuffs.

“The law had it under control because they had all of them," Locklear described. "It was pretty safe."
