DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Charlotte man was killed in a motorcycle collision involving a tractor trailer on McIver Road in Darlington County Sunday.

Monday, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified that man as 23-year-old Omoi Akim Forde, of Charlotte.

The accident occurred at about 3:27 p.m. Sunday on McIver Road and Pickett Drive, according to online information from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Cpl Sonny Collins with SCHP said the motorcycle collided with a tractor trailer after the motorcycle driver hit a patch of water and lost control.

Collins said the tractor trailer driver did not stop after the incident. SCHP is asking for any help or information that could help them find the driver of the truck.

The incident remains under investigation by the coroner's office and the SCHP.
