HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two separate Horry County accidents claimed the life of two women on Friday night, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.

Eunice Leal-Jimenez, 25 years old, died as the result of a vehicle accident at Hwy 548 and Wayside Drive.  She is originally from Mexico but was living in Conway, according to Spadden.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said her Chevy pick-up was traveling south on Wayside and went through a stop sign, hit a Cadillac, then struck a fire hydrant and overturned just before 7 p.m. Friday night.

The driver of the Cadillac was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The second fatal accident took place in Horry County when a car struck a pedestrian on SC-9 bypass around 7:55 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to Grand Strand and died as a result from the injuries.

The SCHP said a Land Rover was traveling south on SC-9 bypass and the pedestrian was walking across the road, then struck by the Land Rover.

The victim is identified as Patricia Soles, 58 years old, from Loris, according to McSpadden.

These collisions are being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
