Two charged in Hartsville after meth lab bust

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - The Darlington County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit responded to a residence on Davidson Street in Hartsville Monday in reference to a possible meth lab, two people are now facing charges. 

Darlington County Drug Enforcement Unit was contacted and called to the scene, along with Hartsville City Fire Department. Officials discovered what they believe was hazardous materials from a meth lab.

According to the DCSO, a meth lab was located on the property. Two people living at the residence were arrested and charged with the following:

Kelly Leigh Weaver, 34, from Hartsville was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine within proximity of a school and disposal of methamphetamine waste.

McKenzie Albert Atkinson, 37, from Hartsville was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine within proximity of a school and disposal of methamphetamine waste.
