MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) After a stretch of cold and winter-like weather, temperatures will start to trend milder this week as rain chances return.
Tonight will not be as cold as the last several nights with temperatures d ropping into the middle 30s across the Pee Dee and upper 30s to near 40 along the Grand Strand.
Tuesday will see the warming trend continue as temperatures reach the lower 60s by afternoon under thickening clouds.
A cold front will d rop into the Carolinas on Wednesday accompanied by a good chance of off and on rain through the day. Some periods of steady rain are likely at times with temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 50s.
Chilly weather will return again for Thursday with cloudy skies and a lingering risk of light rain and drizzle. Temperatures will d rop into the lower to middle 40s for high temperatures.
The chill will be short lived as milder weather returns to finish the week. Friday will see temperatures rebound into the 50s and then into the 60s by the weekend.
