FIRST Lego League needs volunteers

FIRST Lego League needs volunteers

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Volunteers are needed for the FIRST Lego League Robotics East State Championship, on February 13, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Carolina Forest High School.

The organization is run by volunteers and those interested in volunteering can be college students or professionals. Volunteers do not have to have experience or a background in math or science.

Areas in need of assistance are practice table monitors, table re-setters, scorers, timekeeper, referees, and registration.

Both elementary and middle school students will display their ideas on how to improve the environment by approaching trash issues the world faces, autonomous programmed robots that can perform missions, and core values that exhibit teamwork and cooperation that has never been seen at any other event.

For more information on what it takes to be a volunteer watch the SCFLL Volunteer Golden Ticket video.
