NJ fugitive from justice arrested in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police observed a vehicle on Robert Grissom Parkway Friday night that was traveling at high speeds, which then led to the arrest of a person who was wanted out of New Jersey, according to reports.

Police initiated a traffic stop at 44th Ave. N and Robert Grissom Parkway and the suspect did not have a drivers license on him, however did state his name.

Reports say that after checking the information, the suspect was a possible wanted person from Essex County in New Jersey. The sheriff's office confirmed the wanted suspect and he was placed in the Myrtle Beach jail, according to reports.

Franklin Rosevelt Long ,28, was transported to the Myrtle Beach jail where he will be held until he is transported back to New Jersey.

WMBF reached out to the Essex Sheriff Department and they could not release information on Long.
