Trees reported in roadways, several counties affected

(WMBF) – Several trees are being reported down in roadways in Darlington and Marlboro counties, and emergency workers will continue monitoring developments throughout the night.

Trees are reported in roadways at the following locations:

Darlington:

3200 Crestview Drive off Mciver Road 

4048 New Hopewell Road and East Old Camden 

Bell View Dr. and S. Main

Kelleytown Road and Tema Road 

Kershaw Road and SC 403 

North Sansbury Road at Lamar Highway in Darlington County

SC34 North Georgetown Road and North Charleston Road

West Billy Farrow Highway and South Rolling Road

Dillon:

US-301 at Dillon High School

Florence:

Stratton Drive off Pineneedles Road

North Sally Hill Road and Mt. Carmel Rd. 


Marlboro County:

SC-38 North near Brightville Fire Department 

Hebron Dunbar Road at Sc-381 in Marlboro County.

Roy Allison with Marlboro County Emergency Management confirms they have some ice in trees and several power lines down. He said it seems to be the worst in the Wallace area. All Marlboro County government offices closed at 1 p.m., except for emergency workers, who will be watching developments throughout the night.

Mac McDonald with Darlington County Emergency Management says they are getting reports of trees down and trees leaning on power lines, adding that most of the calls are in the Hartsville area of the county.
