Police: Two charged after shots fired at club

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police responded to reports of a fight at the Island Bar on Fred Nash Blvd early Thursday morning, witnesses told police shots were fired at the club, according to reports. 

Reports say officers responded to the fight in the unincorporated area of Myrtle Beach. Witnesses told officers that two men, in an SUV fired guns at the club.

One witness said he heard about six shots, then another five shots. Police were able to stop the men before they fled from the area, and found two guns laying in the ditch.  

Police arrested the following men in connection to this case:

Shiron Thompson, 24, of Johnsonville, is charged with possession of a stolen pistol, possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful carry of a pistol, and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.

Rico Waterman, 22, of Hemingway, is charged with unlawful carry of a pistol, and discharging a firearm Into a dwelling.

Both men are being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center. No one was injured during the incident.
