Closings, delays for Friday due to inclement weather

(WMBF) – The following school districts, schools and government offices have announced delays and closures due to inclement weather on Friday:

-Brunswick County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff. Essential administrative and operations staff should report on schedule, as weather conditions permit, according to a Facebook post by the district, and "Any additional delay or closure will be announced by 6:00 a.m. through local media outlets, social media, and the system's website."

-Coker College is closed for the remainder of the day on Friday. All classes are canceled and all offices are closed.

-Darlington County government offices will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, according to SCEMD.

-All Darlington County School District offices and schools are now closed Friday due to inclement weather and worsening road conditions. 

-Darlington Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School will be closed Friday for students and staff.

-Dillon County government offices close early at 2 p.m. Friday.

-Dillon Christian School will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday.

-Dillon School Districts Three and Four are closed Friday for students and staff.

-Emmanuel Christian School: now closed Friday.

-Florence County offices will operate on a two-hour delay Friday. The county administrator has directed a delayed opening of administrative and non-emergency departments. Employees are to report to their normal work site at 10:30 a.m. 

-Florence School District One will operate on a two-hour delayed schedule on Friday. District officials state: "Elementary schools will start at 9:45 a.m.; middle and high schools will start at 10:30 a.m. School buses will pick students up two hours later than their normal scheduled times. All Florence One employees will report to work at 9:15 a.m.  To accommodate working parents with school car riders and school employees with children, all school buildings will be open to receive students who may arrive early on Friday. Elementary schools will be open to receive students at 7:00 a.m.; middle and high schools will be open to receive students at 7:30 a.m."

-Florence County School District Two will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, with school starting at 9:45 a.m. All employees should report at 8:45 a.m.

-Florence County School District Three will operate on a two-hour delay for students and a one-hour delay for employees.

-Florence County School District Three has canceled all academic after-school programs, including the WINGS program at Main Street Elementary.

-Florence County School District Four schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay schedule for Friday. All staff members are to report to work at 9 a.m. Classes will begin at 10 a.m. Students can be dropped off at 9 a.m.

-Florence County School District Five will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff.

-Florence Christian School and child care will open at 10 a.m.

-Florence Darlington Technical College is closed Friday.

-Florence Kings Academy will operate on a two hour delay Friday.

-Florence Maranatha Christian School and child care will be operate on a two hour delay and opening at 10 a.m. 

-Francis Marion University will be on a two-hour delay, classes resume at 10:30 a.m.

-Florence Virginia College will be on a two hour delay for all students and staff Friday.

-Hartsville Coker College will operate on a delay. All classes before 11 a.m. are cancelled and offices will be closed until 11 a.m.

-Hartsville Emmanuel Christian School will be on a two-hour delay on Friday, January 22

-Lake City Carolina Academy one hour delay Friday

-Marion County School District will operate on a two-hour delay for all students and staff on Friday.

-Marlboro County School District announced that school is now cancelled for staff and students on Friday.

-Robeson County Schools will be closed Friday for all students and staff.

-Robeson Community College will be closed Friday for all students and staff.

-Scotland County Schools and district offices are closed for students and staff on Friday.
