LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - The Lumberton Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that took place off Highway 41 and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Monday night.
Police said an older model Mercury hit a car and went off the road, then hit a light post, power line post, fences, and a car port.
According to police the people in the Mercury ran from the scene and one person was tracked down.
Police charged one person, however still looking for four black males.
The driver of the Mercury, from Lumberton, is still wanted by police.
North Carolina Highway Patrol and Robeson County Sheriff's Office is on the scene. Lumberton Police are investigating.
