Florence Police capture 3rd armed robbery suspect

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Florence Police arrested the third suspect in a pair of armed robberies that took place at the Phoenix Mart early Tuesday morning. Major Carlos Raines said the second and third suspect were arrested Friday night.

According to police, two of the suspects held the store employee at gunpoint demanding money. They took all the money out of the register, stole lottery tickets and cigars.

Florence police said just an hour later, the three suspects went into the Kangaroo station off Second Loop Road and did the same thing. The store manager told police the three men held her employee at gunpoint until he handed over money, then stole the same merchandise. 

Raines confirmed, Edward MC Glover was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of possession of a weapon during violent crime and six counts of breaking into a motor vehicle following an alleged armed robbery.

Police previously arrested 19 year-old Christopher Wallace, as one of the three in connection to the robbery.

Jakeem Keith was also arrested Friday in connection to that crime for two counts of armed robbery, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and six counts of breaking into a motor vehicle following an alleged armed robbery, according to Raines.

Raines said Keith was found hiding in a closet Friday night. 

Keith was the third suspect in the armed robbery case.
