FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Leslie Davis, a former trooper with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, was terminated on January 11.

Davis served in Troop 4, Post C, in Chesterfield and Lancaster counties since January 2006, according to a spokesperson South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Sherri Icobelli, Communications Director for the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, says Davis was “terminated in accordance with the agency’s disciplinary policy for failure to provide truthful and complete information.”

Davis is currently facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed in federal court in 2012.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety says it will not comment on pending litigation.
