MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - President Obama will give his final State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress on Capitol Hill Tuesday night. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will deliver the Republican Party's official response to the State of the Union.
Haley said she couldn't reveal what her message to the nation would be, but said it was more of an address than a response.
"The reason why I didn't want it to be a response to the President is that I am certainly not one to compete against the President or try to imply that I could be," Haley said.
Haley's address will be aired shortly after the President's final address on Tuesday night at 9 p.m.
