Next cold shot blows in, rain on the way for Friday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Another shot of cold weather blows in tonight, followed by a warming trend and more rain by Friday. 

A cold front will blow across the Carolinas tonight ushering in another round of chilly temperatures. By daybreak Wednesday, temperatures will d rop into the upper 20s across the inland and into the lower 30s at the Grand Strand.  A lingering breeze will
send wind chills into the lower 20s by morning. 

Wednesday will be a sunny but chilly day with afternoon temperatures only in the middle and upper 40s. The cold weather lingers through Wednesday night with most areas d ropping into the 20s. 

The core of the cold weather will start to ease up on Thursday with a few more clouds and temperatures climbing into the lower 50s. 

A storm system will pull out of the Gulf of Mexico and up the Carolina coast on Friday bringing a surge of warmer weather and a good chance of rain on Friday. Some heavier downpours will be possible as temperatures warm into the 60s. More colder weather will return once again the end of the weekend and into next week.
