Man arrested for stealing $22,000 worth of equipment in Scotland County

SCOTLAND, NC (WMBF) - The Scotland County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division arrested a man after breaking and entering into a Scotland County business and stole $22,000 worth of equipment.

According to the Sheriff's Office, some of the equipment in the case was recovered at a Robeson County pawn shop and returned to the business owner. 

Jonathan Reid Scott, 27, was arrested for one count of breaking and entering, one count of larceny after breaking and entering of a Scotland County business where $22,000 worth of equipment was stolen. 

During the investigation, additional property was located at the Robeson County pawn shop that was stolen from a home located in the City of Laurinburg.

Scott was placed in the Scotland County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond, according to the Scotland County Sheriff's Office.
