MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11, after the victim relayed information to a Brunswick County School about the abuse, which allegedly took place in Myrtle Beach from 2006 to 2009.
The police report states that a Myrtle Beach Police detective received a fax from the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, stating that they were contacted by the school system in regards to a sexual assault on a minor.
The juvenile victim relayed information about alleged abuse by Jose Atzin-Martinez. The assault apparently occurred between 2006 and 2009 in Myrtle Beach, but the victim was only coming forward now.
Atzin-Martinez was arrested on Thursday and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, victim under 11, and third-degree domestic violence.
