Man hit and killed by train in Latta

LATTA, SC (WMBF) - A man was hit and killed by a passenger train in Latta Wednesday night, Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley confirmed.

Grimsley said it happened near the intersection of Leitner and Railroad Streets. Grimsley said it appears the man was walking along the tracks when he was hit.

The coroner's office is working to identify the man and Latta police are investigating.
