FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The Florence Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for trying to rob individuals at City of Florence ATM in December and January.

The latest armed robbery attempt occurred on January 4; the suspect was seen with a handgun, according to Major Carlos Raines. On December 29, the suspect had his hand in his jacket pocket, appearing to hold a gun, and did commit an armed robbery. On December 30, the suspect again had his hand in his pocket, appearing to hold a handgun, but no money or property was actually taken.

Each instance occurred at an ATM outside the South State Bank in the 200 block of South Irby Street in the City of Florence, Major Raines confirmed. The suspect will be charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of attempted armed robbery, Major Raines said.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Florence Police.
