Harlem Globetrotters coming to Florence, Conway this weekend

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are back for their 90th Anniversary World Tour, and this year, they’re appearing at the Florence Civic Center and the HTC Center at Coastal Carolina University in Conway.

The Globetrotters are bringing their basketball wizardry and one-of-a-kind family entertainment to the Florence Civic Center on Friday, January 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets range in price from $18 to $80 for VIP tickets.

The team will also be playing at the HTC Center in Conway on Sunday, January 10 at 3 p.m. Tickets range in price from $29.50 to $79.50, and a “Magic Pass” to attend a pre-show event at 1:30 p.m. is sold separately.     A BB gun was brought into Waccamaw Elementary by a student on the first day of school, a spokesperson for Horry County Schools confirmed. A 6-year-old boy in first grade showed up with the BB gun in his backpack, confirmed HCS spokeswoman Teal Britton.

We’ve all left the building.” With that, Surfside Beach resident Betty Lowery stormed out of the Surfside Beach town council meeting Tuesday night after having submitted her resignation from the town’s Planning Commission. Her resignation followed that of Sandra Elliott who earlier had also resigned from the same commission.
