MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Emergency Management is still looking at several flooded roads in the county. Several crews are working to monitor the forecast and flooding to alert the public.

Hwy 9 in Gresham near Canary Ct. continues to be closed. Knife Island Ct. off Davis Landing Rd. is still closed. Crews are looking at several spots along the rivers. The emergency services are prepared to respond in the areas that are flooded, it just may be a delayed response to get appropriate equipment to the location, according to Director Jerry M. Williams.

The team has had several vehicles go around the road closed signs and get stuck. Do not go around the signs. Turn around, don't drown.

The river forecast will continue to be monitored with the National Weather Service River Forecast Center.

As water begins to recede, crews will be out assessing the roads and making sure they are safe to drive on.
