New Year's Eve events

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Whether you're looking for family-friendly or a night out on the town with friends, businesses across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee are planning their New Year's Eve celebrations.

Here's a list of places to ring in 2016:

Myrtle Beach

The Market Common- A Southern Times Square. The event includes live bands, face painters, human statues, dancing in the streets while businesses and restaurants keep their doors open to celebrate with revelers.  Times Square in New York City will be streaming live on a jumbo screen beginning at 9 p.m. There will also be a ball drop right at The Market Common, which will be followed by fireworks. This event is free.

Crocodile Rocks and Dueling Pianos at Broadway at the Beach will host a New Year's Eve party will includes a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. General Admission is $15.

The Carolina Comedy Club at Broadway at the Beach is also holding a New Years Eve celebration with two show times at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $25 each or two for $30.

Ripley’s Aquarium will host a Kids New Year’s Eve Sleepover for ages 6 – 14, from 8:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Admission is $49.99 plus tax per child and will include karaoke, pizza, movies, ball drop, music, dancing, non-alcoholic toast at midnight, and a live simulcast from Times Square.

Fun Warehouse will host its New Year’s Eve All Night Skate event from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Tickets are $25 and include a basic skate rental, one game of laser tag, a pizza slice and drink.

The Hard Rock Cafe will host a New Year’s Eve Bash from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Advance tickets are $25 plus tax or $30 plus tax the day of. The ticket price includes a balloon drop, confetti cannons, party favors, complimentary appetizers at midnight, and a live simulcast from Times Square. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age.

North Myrtle Beach

Barefoot Landing will shoot fireworks at 6 p.m. and shops will stay open until 7 p.m. 

Barefoot Princess Riverboat will host a New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise. Boarding will begin at 5:30 p.m. The boat will sail from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be live entertainment and a buffet with all the trimmings. Tickets are $49 per person.

Barefoot Princess Riverboat will also host a New Year’s Eve Dance and Dessert Cruise. Boarding will begin at 9:45 p.m. The boat will sail from 10:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. There will be live entertainment and attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Tickets are $58 per person.

Murrells Inlet

Brookgreen Gardens will will hold a Stroll By Candlelight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $20, or $15 for members. There will be music, hand-lit candles and holiday lights in the sculpture garden. 

The Marsh Walk at Murrells Inlet is having fireworks. Each of the seven Marsh Walk restaurants will have holiday drink and dinner specials throughout the evening. Live music will be played on all stages, culminating with a midnight fireworks show that will light up the sky. The fireworks display will happen rain or shine.

    NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Warrants could be issued as early as Sunday after a Myrtle Beach woman allegedly shot at her ex-boyfriend  and his new girlfriend in the parking lot of Walmart on Highway 17.     ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - One man is dead and another seriously injured after an incident at the Campbell's Soup factory in Maxton Sunday morning.
