Copy-Investigators: Man admitted to killing ex-girlfriend, dumping her body in creek

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

The man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and dumping her body in a creek in Orangeburg County appeared in court on Tuesday to answer to his charges.

Harold Pratt, 45, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a crime. He's accused of fatally shooting Loretta Bunch, 38, back on Christmas when she went missing.

An incident report shows Bunch was reported missing by her father after no one was able to get in touch with her.

Pratt did not make eye contact with anyone in the courtroom as his charges were read.

While Bunch's family members did not want to go on camera, they said Pratt and Bunch dated for nearly 10 years. Her aunt says a few months ago, the two separated and Bunch moved out of their home on Alcola Lane.

The investigation into this case is ongoing.

Bunch's funeral, meanwhile, is at 11 a.m. at the Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill.
