Wanted woman gets new charge after police find drug paraphernalia in squad car

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A woman wanted by police in Myrtle Beach for an assault in November is now behind bars and facing more charges.

According to police reports, officers responded to a possible assault call at Big Daddy's Roadhouse Grill off S Kings Highway around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Authorities say that's where they found 31-year old Leslee Brock verbally fighting with a man. Brock was arrested on scene for a warrant linked to a previous assault and battery case that happened in November.

Before being put into the patrol car, officers say they searched Brock. However after she was taken to the jail, a red steel pipe was found in the backseat. Police reports say the backseat was checked before the shift started and was clear. The red steel pipe was reportedly found under the seat's cushion. The responding officer said no one had been in the back the entire shift except for Brock.

"The red steel pipe had steel wool packed into one end of the pipe. The end of the pipe that contained the steel wool had black burn marks, which indicates burning. Due to my experience this type of pipe is used for smoking narcotics," the responding officer wrote in the police report.

Brock was charged with having drug paraphernalia, in addition to the charges she already faced from the November assault incident.

On November 28, officers were dispatched to Summer Sands for an assault. The victim reported that Brock had attacked her while she was sitting in a chair outside, knocking her to the ground.

"Independent witness states he was standing on his balcony and saw the offender run from across the street while victim was walking down the road [15th S toward Ocean Blvd] and just started to 'beat the hell' out of the victim," the police report said. "After the offender broke it off, victim sat down at the Summer Sands to gather herself. But again, offender came back around the corner and knocked victim to the ground, hitting her several times before offender walked up the street towards Kings Hwy."

The victim reportedly suffered minor cuts and bruising from the encounter.

Brock was charged with assault, assault and battery 3rd degree for that incident.
