Black Creek Flood Expectations Rising

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The latest data from the National Weather Service says the Black River in Quinby will crest at 14.5 feet. Rising water in the Black Creek has flooded East Black Creek Road, in Florence County.

At 14' feet Floodwaters surround the majority of homes on East Black Creek Road, Creekside Drive and Crooked Creek Drive isolating residents according to the National Weather Service.

The Black Creek is expected to reach 14.5 feet on Friday, just six inches shy of its moderate flood stage, and begin to recede from there according to N.W.S., however that could change.
