Green Fence Recycling Corporation to bring 40 jobs to Marion County

MULLINS, SC (WMBF) – Start-up recycling firm Green Fence Recycling Corporation is establishing operations in Marion County.

Green Fence Recycling is investing $2.5 million in the facility, located at 3630 East Highway 76 in Mullins, creating 40 new jobs over the next five years.

The 65,000 square-foot facility is anticipated to be fully operational in February 2016.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has authorized job development credits, along with a $100,000 grant to Marion County to help with the costs of real property improvements.

Once hiring begins, those interested in joining the company can visit www.jobs.scworks.org to apply.

    Traffic congestion is being reported on several spots along Highway 17 and Highway 17 Bypass from Surfside Beach to Georgetown as the total solar eclipse draws nearer. An alert from the South Carolina Department of Transportation states that US 17 southbound between the Garden City Connector and Indigo Club Drive is down to an average speed of just 7 miles per hour, for a length of about 9 miles.
