MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Military Appreciation Committee is returning the Military Appreciation Days parade to Memorial weekend, but a new location. The committee agreed that the parade will be held Saturday May 28 along Howard Ave. and Farrow Parkway at Market Common.
The parade last year was held on Armed Forces Day on Ocean Blvd. City spokesman Mark Kruea said, "We'll have more space to work with and less competition, making for a better parade experience for everyone."
The parade will kick off at 10:30 a.m., followed by a family picnic, entertainment, music and more.
Parade entries are being accepted now. For details, an entry form and a map of the 2016 parade route, visit the City of Myrtle Beach.
