MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - North Carolina is offering drone training classes. Flight captains will teach the course which will include the use of Phantom three training drones. Topics will include privacy considerations, airspace basics and more.

Upcoming classes will take place in Raleigh January 9th and Saturday January 23. Basic training classes begin at $79 and last two hours.

According to the dart drone website, the basic training class will include the following topics: 

 The Federal Aviation Administration

  • Know Before You Fly
  • Rules for Recreational, Commercial, and Government Users
  • The 333 Exemption
  • FAA Proposed Rules for sUAS

  • Planning your flight
  • Emergency procedures
  • Checklists
  • Flight log
  • Weather considerations
  • Identifying hazardous obstacles
  • Insurance
