MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police Officers responded to the area of 6th Ave. N and N. Ocean Blvd Friday in reference to a man who was allegedly assaulting a female, reports said.
Upon arriving, officers spoke to the victim who at first denied being slapped, punched or pushed. However, the victim did report she was choked by the suspect, according to police.
Reports say the suspect was arrested and transported to the Myrtle Beach jail. The victim denied treatment and the suspect had previous history for domestic violence.
Malik Durell Johnson was charged with domestic violence second degree, according to police reports.
