UPDATE: 21-year-old Conway man wanted for armed robbery at Family Dollar in Calabash

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man suspected of robbing a Family Dollar store in Calabash around 12 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the BCSO, 21-year-old Zachariah Gerald Bay of Temple Street in Conway entered the store at 10215 Beach Drive, brandished a gun and robbed the store of its cash. He then fled from the store on foot. He is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Bay is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He was also described as having a tattoo or mole underneath his right eye. The suspect may be driving a black Ford Explorer sport truck.

A clerk and a patron who were in the store at the time of the robbery were unharmed.
