NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police arrested a Little River man on November 2 for failure to stop for blue lights and driving drunk with a two-year-old in the back seat, according to police reports.

Reports say the officer observed a silver Hyundai Sonata turn on Highway 17 from Robert Edge Pkwy; the vehicle then spun its tires into the lane. The officer continued to catch up and clocked the vehicle driving 56 mph in a 40 mph zone. The vehicle then swerved between the lanes and turned onto 17th Ave. South East, then South on Hillside Drive. The officer activated emergency equipment and the vehicle came to a stop just South of 17th Ave. South on Hillside.

The officer approached the vehicle, which drove away. The vehicle then traveled a few blocks and turned into a driveway on Hillside Drive. The officer approached the vehicle and a white female exited the passenger side; two-year-old child was in the back seat.

Police arrested 35-year-old Charles Justin Meyers for DUI and failure to stop for a blue light, according to police reports.
