It's always great to see new business coming to our neighborhoods. And, it's good to know that there are appearance standards and expectations that must be met to be able to open in Myrtle Beach.
The Carolina Ale House wants to build at the old Planet Hollywood site. Its first attempt was shot down by the Community Appearance Board. The reason: the new building looked too institutional.
The second attempt got the green light. And, what an improvement. It's so important for our area to continue to attract tourists by offering unique places to visit.
Consider This: Intriguing attractions and new concepts are so important in continuing to give our visitors a great experience on their vacations… and to entice those of us who live here to get out and support our local businesses.
The Community Appearance Board is continuing to do great things for Myrtle Beach. I hope other cities follow that lead and push for that higher standard across the Grand Strand.
