FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The body of a 19-year-old male who was killed in a Florence crash December 4 was moved after the accident, according to Major Michael Nunn. The Sheriff's Office is investigating why the body was moved and who moved it.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal collision in Florence County Friday December 4, that killed a 19-year-old male.
According to SCHP, a 1999 Dodge pick-up was traveling West on Chinaberry road at 4 a.m., ran off the right side of the road, then struck a fence.
The Florence County Coroner identified the victim as 19-year-old Phillip Broderick Howell of Florence, he was the passenger of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was wearing a seat-belt at the time and not injured, according to SCHP.
The incident is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and Florence County Coroner's Office.
