CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Coastal Carolina University’s football team is on the search for a new defensive coordinator.

Head coach Joe Moglia and Clayton Carlin agreed to part ways, according to Mike Cawood, CCU Associate Athletics Director/Media Relations.

Moglia released a statement earlier saying, "Clayton and I agreed that the timing was right to move on because of differing philosophies for our defense."

Carlin held the position for four years.

Cawood says the search for the Chanticleers new defensive coordinator is underway immediately.

According to CCU Sports, Carlins’ base salary was $92,259.
