Pee Dee rescue groups holding pet adoption event Saturday

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Animal rescue organizations from around the Pee Dee are coming together to host a community pet adoption event on Saturday, hoping to meet a goal of 101 adoptions by the end of the month.

The Community Pet Adoption event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main campus of the Carolinas Health System at 805 Pamplico Highway in Florence.

More than 18 Humane Societies and animal rescue groups across the Pee Dee will showcase animals for adoption, and there will be demonstrations on grooming, fly ball, leash training, and an agility course. Pet owners will also be able to get free pet pictures with Santa.
