HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect believed connected to the armed robbery that occurred at the Sunhouse Convenience Store in the Conway area of Horry County around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

The suspect is described as a male, 30 to 35 years old, about 5 foot-6-inches tall, with a tattoo of an Asian (possibly Chinese) symbol under his right eye. He was wearing a toboggan, a dark long sleeved shirt, and jeans. Police released additional photos of the suspect on Friday.

The female clerk stated that a man came in brandishing a knife and demanded the cash drawers, according to a news release from Lt. Raul Denis of the Horry County Police Department.

The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes and other merchandise from the store.

No one was injured in the incident.

The convenience store, located at 2698 Hwy 90, sold a winning lotto ticket last month and received a $4,000 commission from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Anyone with information about the man in the photograph is asked to call to call the HCPD Tip Line at 843-915-8477.
