Myrtle Beach Neighborhood Services to hold 8 week citizens’ academy

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Neighborhood Services Department will host MyBeach 101, the city’s first citizens’ academy, every Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., beginning January 28 through March 17. 

The free eight-week program will give both residents and business owners the opportunity to learn how their local government works and how to become more involved. The informative program will cover topics including public safety, public works, city services, and much more. 
Classes will be presented by city leaders and city employees. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Class locations will vary weekly, based on the presentation.
