Power restored after raccoon causes outage affecting 1,368 MB customers

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sante Cooper reported a power outage that affected 1,368 customers in Myrtle Beach near Ocean Blvd Sunday night.

Myrtle Beach Fire Department said, a substation was out and Sante Cooper was working to fix the issue.

Susan Mungo from Santee Cooper said the outage was caused by a raccoon that was found in the substation.

According to the Santee Cooper outage map, power is now restored.
