MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Florida Georgia Line is joining Tim McGraw and Keith Urban to headline the 2016 Carolina Country Music Fest, coming to Myrtle Beach next June.

"Florida Georgia Line, along with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban should really put us over the top as far as having the best talent a country music fest has in the country,” President of Full House Productions Bob Durkin said.

Other artists announced Tuesday are Jake Owen, A Thousand Horses and Michael Ray. There are 10 to 12 more national artists to be announced, as well as local acts, according Durkin. He said we should expect to know the entire lineup after the first of the year.

Organizers don't just expect more music, but more people.

"I think we have room to grow to 30-35 thousand people, possibly 40,” Durkin said.

Thousands of tickets, have already been sold, this year, with about seven more months until the concert.

The CCMF is returning to Myrtle Beach June 10 to 12, 2016. It will start with kickoff party June 9th, the Thursday night leading into the weekend.

For its first year, the concert left its mark on Myrtle Beach.

"Not only did they produce the entertainment, but we had 20,000 people that came to see country music at it's finest right here at a site that has a lot of memories for people who live in this town,” City of Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes said.

Memories which could become tradition every summer.

"You know, the plans long term, if this year goes well to come back in 2017,” Durkin said.

Mayor Rhodes brought up the idea for the company, FHP, to bring a concert in the shoulder season, as well.

"There's definitely different types of genres of music and there's other festivals,” Durkin said. “We're giving it some serious thought and there could be coming some announcements down the line."

In the meantime, the focus is the 2016 CCMF, so Durkin also addressed working on more parking and traffic options for a smooth ride through the weekend.

He also said the festival will bring back the wristbands to assure quick and safe access.

If you want to attend this year, tickets are on sale now for 3 day passes, vip and super vip tickets.

Organizers announced today there will also be VIP stage boxes, corporate hospitality tents, and group packages available.

At this time they have not announced if individual day tickets will be made available.
