HCPD: Woman's purse snatched after unloading shopping cart

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police Officers responded to the Walmart on Kings Road in Myrtle Beach Saturday in reference to a purse snatching. 

Police said that a 63-year-old woman reported that as she unloaded her purchases from the cart to her car, a man got out of a white car and grabbed her purse from the shopping cart. The woman tried to hold on to her purse but the man was able to take off with her purse after struggling with it. The victim said she was able to grab the collar of the suspect to try and retrieve her purse back and was unsuccessful. 

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'10" tall, weighing approximately 160 lbs. The car is described as a white 4 door, Chevrolet Cavalier with all black wheels.
