CONWAY, SC (WMBF) -  HTC employees hosted a blood drive Tuesday, November 3 for the American Red Cross at the HTC main office in Conway. A total of 30 pints of blood were collected with the potential to save as many as 90 lives in Horry County.

Each unit has the power to save up to three lives. “Due to the recent flooding, many blood drives were canceled causing a critically-low blood supply."

HTC employees have donated 116 units of blood this year. According to American Red Cross records, HTC has donated over 2,575 units of blood since 1999, potentially saving as many as 7,700 lives.

For more information on blood drive participation held at HTC, contact Lisa Martin, HTC Marketing Coordinator, at 843-369-8714.
