CONWAY – Alex Ross tied a school-record with five touchdown passes in a game and became the Big South’s all-time leader for total offense to lead #4 Coastal Carolina to a 45-13 victory over Kennesaw State Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Brooks Stadium.

Ross completed 20-of-27 passes for 262 yards with five scores. He now has 10,689 career yards of total offense and surpassed previous record-holder Collin Drafts of Charleston Southern (10,571). His five scores tied Aramis Hillary (2012) and Zach MacDowall (2010).

Chris Jones had a career-high 131 receiving yards on six receptions with two touchdowns. Tyrell Blanks caught two TD passes while Bruce Mapp added one. Also, De’Angelo Henderson topped the 100-yard barrier for the seventh time this season and extended his NCAA FCS record by scoring in his 24th consecutive game as he tallied 103 yards on 18 attempts with a rushing TD.

Coastal will finish second in the Big South Conference this year. Charleston Southern's win over Liberty today improved the Bucs to 6-0 in conference play, winning the conference championship outright.

The Chanticleers are back in action next Thursday, Nov. 19, at Liberty for the 2015 regular-season finale. Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be telecast on ESPNEWS.
