HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police spoke to a minor and her legal guardian in reference to a criminal sexual conduct act involving a man who was touching girl inappropriately and asking her to "sit on his lap."

Reports say, in 2011 the incidents began involving the man who would make her sit on his lap. On occasion he would put his hands under her shirt and touch her breast stating his hands were cold. Police were told the suspect would wear shorts that exposed his genitals and asked the victim if she wanted to touch his "private parts." She said he wouldn't let her wear pajamas or any type of pants to bed and would touch her thighs. The victim said on occasion the suspect had her sit on his lap and kissed her "with his tongue."

On occasion he gave his wife Nyquil so she would go to sleep and he was left alone with the victim. The suspect made her take a shower and he wouldn't let her close the door to go to the bathroom. He also allegedly tried to get in the shower with her but she repeatedly said "no."
Reports say, there was never any penetration but there was numerous incidents of inappropriate touching, kissing, and exposure of himself.

The victim said the incidents happened at two different locations. Savannah Bluff Road in the Conway section of Horry County and Farmwood Circle.

According to police, 28-year-old Daniel Charles Bennett of Galivants Ferry was charged with criminal sexual conduct 3rd degree.
