MBPD: Suspect punches woman in face four times, threatens to shoot family

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police officers were dispatched to Ocean Blvd Saturday in reference to an assault involving a woman who was punched in the face; the suspect also threatened to shoot her family.

The victim said she was assaulted by the suspect, she was visiting a friend and the suspect ran up to the car, grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face four times. The victim also said as the suspect walked away she threatened to shoot the victim and her family, according to police reports.

An officer spoke to a witness who said the suspect and the victim were in a mutual fight Friday. The witness said he didn't know of anything that happened Saturday.

The victim's eye was black and started to swell. The victim said the suspect lived on Session Street where a burgundy SUV with rims and a couple mopeds were parked in the driveway.

Police were unable to locate the suspect.
