A cold front approaches bringing more than a 20 degree temperature drop

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) As we work our way through the weekend, we're watching a cold front push through. Rain will be possible Saturday evening into Saturday night bringing much cooler air with it.

Sunday we wake up to temperatures in the mid 50s and by the afternoon our temperatures only climb a few degrees into the upper 50s to right around 60. That's a 20 degree temperature change from where we are at today. It is also going to be very cloudy and very breezy. One of the more potent cold fronts we've seen this season will be bringing breezy and gusty winds with it.

At times throughout the day we could see winds gust as high as 30-35 mph. A lot of ingredients coming together to make for a nasty Sunday.

Come Monday another system moves through bringing the chance for heavy rain and maybe some thunder to the area. Keep checking back with more updates on the rain we are tracking for the start to your workweek.
