FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Football players and cheerleaders from West Florence and South Florence went to McLeod Children's hospital Saturday morning to interact and put a smile on their faces.

The children at the hospital don't have the privilege to go out and celebrate Halloween, so the students went room to room at the hospital and did arts and crafts with the kids, pumpkin decorating, bracelet making and more.

After spending time with the kids, students gave each of them a goodie bag along with a little football that reads," Florence 1, South Florence, West Florence, Wilson. We stand together."

Gerald Herbert said one parent mentioned this was the first time their child has smiled since being in the hospital.
