HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An Effingham man was arrested Monday in connection to band equipment being stolen from the equipment trailer at Aynor High School late last month, according to Aynor Police Department Chief David Thompson.

Casey Lee Eldred, age 37, is charged with malicious injury to tree or house while trespassing upon real property valued at $2000 or less, second degree burglary, malicious injury to animals or personal property valued over $1,000 but less than $5,000, possession making implements capable of being used in crime (burglary tools) and petit or simple larceny under $2,000, according to the J. Chief Thompson said Eldred was also arrested in connection to damaging an ATM at an Aynor bank.

The APD is still following leads to recover the stolen items.

Chief Thompson said Eldred was identified by multi-jurisdictional agencies working together and by concerned citizens.

The Aynor High School Band has been able to keep all their commitments, according to Chief Thompson.
